Mukularanyam English School was founded in 1989 by Mrs. Bharti Jaiswal who believed strongly in promoting both excellence in English education as well as preserving the positive values of Indian culture.
In establishing the school, Mrs. Jaiswal articulated her vision: "The Indian nation has long cherished a tolerant, peaceful, and philosophical way of life. Yet today we see much influence from dualistic, highly specialized foreign technologies and cultures. This can lead to merely copying others, creating conflict, or condemnation without reasonable evolution. My aim is to present both cultures factually, with emphasis on India's harmonious traditions, which have often been suppressed. By respecting our culture, we can retain the best of it while also adapting to meet the technological age."
The school started modestly in 1989 with just two classrooms and 30 students in grades 1-4. However, word quickly spread about the unique English-medium school. Enrollment grew rapidly over the next few years. By 1999, the school had over 300 students and classes from grades 1-10.
Over the years, Mukularanyam gained recognition for producing capable individuals who embodied Indian ideals and served the society with humility and mindfulness.
Mrs. Bharti Jaiswal led the school for over two decades until her demise in the 2000s.
